Daft Punk collaborator Giorgio Moroder will hold a talk at Leaf, London’s new electronic dance music event, which will arrive in the city this November.

Encompassing a series of talks, technology masterclasses, installations, screenings, parties and performances, LEAF is created and curated by Bestival founder Rob da Bank and will run for four days between November 7-10. Joining Moroder on the line-up for the event will be New Order, Dinos Chapman, Major Lazer and William Orbit.

Leaf aims to «celebrate the cultural significance of electronic music» and will focus on how the genre has influenced visual art, film and live music. Shoreditch’s Electric Light Station will become the Leaf Hub for the four days with workshops, exhibitions, master-classes and talks all taking place there, including New Order talking about the influence of Ibiza on the recording of their 1989 ‘Technique’ album.

Live performances will take place through Leaf’s duration, including Major Lazer at Brixton Academy on November 7, and Trentemoller at The Forum on the same day. Giorgio Moroder (pictured above) will play a DJ set at Oval Space in what a UK exclusive and the iconic producer’s first appearance in the UK since his work on the Daft Punk album ‘Random Access Memories’. Other acts confirmed for the festival include The Bloody Beetroots, Omar Souleyman, Seth Troxler, Boiler Room, Daniel Miller, Arthur Baker and Éclair Fifi.

Entry to the Leaf Hub is available now and comes via a four-day pass or a day pass, with stand-alone ticketed events. Click here for more information on the inaugural Leaf festival.
